More information needed on growing hempYour November hemp article is well constructed and very informative for farmers. Thanks for including Cool Hemp amidst all the farming details. I think you've done a good job presenting the basic information farmers need to consider before committing a field to hemp, and a lot more besides. The biggest challenge for farmers considering growing hemp is lack of solid, detailed information on how to grow it and how to harvest it. While the Ontario Hemp Alliance has good information on its website (www.ontariohempalliance.org), this is information that the federal and provincial governments used to provide for farmers. With such a new, and potentially profitable, crop being legal and feasible to grow, we would all appreciate and benefit from the government putting our hard-earned tax money into researching and printing the helpful details for farmers in all the various regions and all the various soil types. Your article certainly helps farmers with the "why" to grow hemp. Now the publicly-funded agriculture departments need to provide the details on "how" to farm hemp, both for oil seed and for fibre.
