Advice for George Bush on building a fence

Nice breakdown of costs for that fence (see “The case of the disappearing fence posts,” Better Farming, October 2006). Maybe you should organize a trip to Washington for the Mennonite farmer who built it.


President George Bush is building a 700-mile fence along the bottom end of the United States of America at a cost of $1.2 billion US.

That’s about $325 a foot. He could use some advice on cost-effectiveness from an Ontario farmer. Would he listen? Dunno.

You can always tell a Texan, but you can't tell him much.BF
