Perhaps higher interest

Perhaps higher interest rates will bring some sanity to hyper inflated land values that have been driven well beyond their productive values largely by cheap money. Don't wish hardship on anyone but $8-10k an acre farmland is not sustainable and it is going to take a shake out to get things back to a more reasonable level.

Agreed entirely

I agree entirely. Cheap money has made farmers stupid, and we should have had higher interest rates, much higher interest rates, a long time ago.
