'Anything goes' with insect populations provincial entymologist warns

RIDGETOWN — With another winter of freezes and thaws, the province’s field crop entomologist warns anything goes this spring when it comes to insect populations.
“Despite what it feels, it’s not all that cold yet,” said Tracey Baute of the nearly -6 C temperature on Jan. 4, the final day of this year’s Southwest Agricultural Conference held at the University of Guelph's Ridgetown campus.
