What did we expect when we as growers let our organization collude with the industry to kill the OUI program? Lots of promises made. Hmmm, promises.

The growers should get over the fact that they are paying too much for pest control products. This is their fault. Growers did nothing to help prevent prohibition in jurisdictions like Ontario. Prohibition leads to higher costs, for everyone. There are long-term repercussions of pesticide bans. Growers in the agriculture industry have been living in lunatic la-la land. Growers who do not want to get too involved with the issue of the prohibition against pest control products used in the urban landscape. http://wp.me/P1jq40-2Mt There are now serious repercussions to arbitrary prohibitions. Because of arbitrary prohibition in provinces like Ontario, major global manufacturers are entirely abandoning all sectors of the pesticide industry, and are directing their resources towards more lucrative and stable markets, such as agricultural, pharmaceutical, and veterinary products. Moreover, federal, provincial, and municipal officials cannot effectively govern their jurisdictions in a country that has environmental-terrorist-organizations dictating public policy on matters such as the prohibition of pest control products that are, in fact, federally legal, scientifically safe, and cause no harm. If Canada is to become a haven for subversive enviro-terrorist activities, companies and investors will shun Canada, and go elsewhere ! The Canadian market is now finished as far as many chemical manufacturers are concerned. Canada will no longer benefit from any additional investment regarding new technologies applicable to pest control products. That’s it. Game over. Just like the companies that vacated the province of Quebec in the 1970s because of a new separatist government, the exodus of chemical manufacturers from Canada is complete. These manufacturers abhor operating in markets made unstable by terrorism, whether it is political or environmental. Consequently, the manufacturers are terrified at the prospect of investing hundreds of millions of dollars on the research and registration of new products in an unstable Canada. The exit strategies are now assured. The exodus applies to all manufacturers and distributors of pest control products. This is the carnage of anti-pesticide prohibition. http://wp.me/P1jq40-26P WILLIAM H. GATHERCOLE AND NORAH G http://pesticidetruths.com/ http://wp.me/P1jq40-2rr
