Producers attending this year’s London Swine Conference will be presented with “practical, real-world experiences.”
That’s the word from steering committee chair Stewart Cressman. In his chairman’s message, Cressman says the event will address topics such as pain control, nutrition, barn design, performance indicators, antibiotics and influenza all under the heading of “managing for production.”
“Each day,” Cressman’s message says, “the conference has a focus on a specific type of hog operation.” Sows will be the focus on the first day, while wean-to-finish will be the focus on day two.
The conference - www.londonswineconference.ca - is a joint effort of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Ontario Pork, the University of Guelph and the Ontario Pork Industry Council. It will be held at the London Convention Centre on March 27 and 28. Registration deadline is March 22. BF
