Ontario farm leaders weigh in on their hopes for the new year

Comments

When you see all these leaders say what we farmers need is great but as Wayne Easter example, leaders will not speak bluntly to Ministers

The leader wish list is now the farm leaders OXE yoke of farmers confidence or pending no confidence vote

With every new year comes certain non production individual farmer decisions and responsibility

1) do I rejoin the same general farm organization as last year? Does my organization get results needed by most members, Does my organization listen to membership ? When was the last time I was at a meeting or involved in organizational policy? Do the people representing county farmers remain accountable to local farmers membership or follow the provincial organization executive?

2)Are farmers getting value for their membership dollars spent? with results we can see over time

3)Is the Grain farmers of Ontario county regional meetings a true representative view of each regions total membership with needs a, when based on the continued poor annual meeting farmer turnout numbers compared to the total county/region membership list total non attending?,
4)Is new ideas coming foward or same old ideas used year after year but hoping for different results which never arrive

For Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario president Henry Stevens Christmas is about celebrating the birth of Christ. “I don’t buy into this gift idea for Christmas.”

What has the world of agriculture and farming come to, Farmers know that there are acts of sin being cast on farmers and our own farmers turn our heads and look the other way

If we dont buy into Christmas we all as farmers should know righteous acts and help repair acts of evil in agriculture

A wish is an emotion of the heart A business plan is based on COP numbers measurements and fact. Rather than wring their hands in heartfelt despair these leading voices should spit in one hand and wish in the other to see which fills up first. Then analyse doing something to attain measurable results.

A wish is an emotion of the heart. A business plan is based on COP numbers measurements and fact. Rather than wringing their hands in heartfelt despair these leading voices should spit in one hand and wish in the other to see which fills up first. Then analyse doing something meaningful to attain measurable results.

If you notice there is almost no common thyme relating to the story title of profitability and risk. Why Don Kenny is so far off base he is asking for more research before profit!

The long overdue sediment of a minister "for" Agriculture would be a refreshing change from a minister "of" Agriculture but probably just a WISH.

All these Rmp programs are flawed and the powers to be hide the truth and will not allow farmers to see how the cost lines of expenses came about. Only direct cost are allowed. nothing for taxes.etc

Maybe court and lawsuits are needed to keep leaders going straight

The

in the New Year.
