What Kevin Grier didn't say, but usually does, when asked about hog and livestock issues, is that while the "boil" of COOL has been lanced, the "cancer" of ethanol mandates remains, on both sides of the border.

Therefore, even though Canadian hog and livestock farmers had one lump of coal taken out of their Christmas stocking because of the repeal of COOL, they still have two lumps left, ethanol mandates and supply management.

The first sentence warning of other factors in play is a gigantic understatement!

You have to wonder how processors in this country feel about the border opening ?
