Case DC 4 This Year's Farm Show Model Friday, January 14, 2011 by BETTER FARMING STAFFThe Case DC 4 is the antique model tractor for the 25th edition of the Canadian International Farm Show scheduled for Feb. 8-10 at the International Centre in Mississauga.Denise Miller, publicist for the show’s producers, Master Promotions, said model tractors have become a big draw for collectors. She said last year’s supply of 1,200 Massey Ferguson 65 models was sold out.The antique tractors, which sell for $75, come boxed with a history of the tractor for collectors who come from all over Ontario and as far away as Quebec. An original DC 4 will also be on display. Case produced the DC series of tractors from 1939 to 1952. Miller said the antique tractor display has been a feature for about 20 years. It was the brainchild of Guthrie farmer Charles Batt who died in 2009. If you’re interested in bigger tractors, Miller said this year’s show will have close to 300 exhibitors.
