Dairy slogan wanted Friday, March 21, 2014 by SUSAN MANN Dairy farmers with a snappy slogan that promotes the importance of the industry have until the end of the week to submit their entries as part of a contest sponsored by Dairy Farmers of Ontario. The organization is celebrating its 50th anniversary starting Nov. 1 and the winning slogan will be used to go with the new 50th anniversary logo the Dairy Farmers board approved at its January meeting. Dairy Farmers communications manager Laural Adams says the board will select the winning slogan at its regular board meeting next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Depending on how many entries are received, the board will see all of them or staff will narrow down the selections to a few “top ones” for the board to vote on, she notes. Adams says there are a fair number of entries but because they have to be submitted through the dairy producer committees “I can’t give you an exact number yet.” Each dairy producer committee can submit up to three entries.
