Ritz’s reappointment was announced at the ministers’ swearing in ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa Wednesday morning. Ritz represents the riding of Battlefords – Lloydminster in Saskatchewan. Christian Paradis, Mégantic—L'Érable MP, replaces Jean-Pierre Blackburn as minister of state (agriculture). Blackburn was defeated in the election earlier this month in his riding of Jonquière-Alma.
