Ritz returns Wednesday, May 18, 2011 by BETTER FARMING STAFF Gerry Ritz returns as Canada’s minster of agriculture, agri-food and minister of the Canadian Wheat Board. Ritz’s reappointment was announced at the ministers’ swearing in ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa Wednesday morning. Ritz represents the riding of Battlefords – Lloydminster in Saskatchewan. Christian Paradis, Mégantic—L'Érable MP, replaces Jean-Pierre Blackburn as minister of state (agriculture). Blackburn was defeated in the election earlier this month in his riding of Jonquière-Alma.
