T-Rex burger made extinct Monday, August 5, 2013 Political correctness on the issue of obesity, crosses the 49th Parallel. Wendy's International Inc, headquartered in Ohio, ordered a Brandon Man., Wendy's restaurant to cease selling the T-Rex burger, a nine quarter-pound patty "monstrosity" as the Brandon Sun referred to it. The high stack of beef and bun (with nine slices of cheeses as well) had sold for $21.99. A "combo" (sandwich, fries and a drink) sold for $24.99. The Brandon restaurant was the only one selling it and had been doing so for nearly nine years. Customers were asking for it. The restaurant's operator claimed to sell several of these sandwiches a day, even though it was never on the menu. We guess the three-patty Baconator was just an appetizer.
