CCF has determined that the HSUS shares less than one per cent of its public contributions with pet shelters. The Center says the HSUS received a "D" rating on the American Institute of Philanthropy's most recent thrice a year "Charitywatch" guide. The guide is not available on the Internet. The Center for Consumer Freedom claims to be a nonprofit watchdog organization that informs the public about the activities of tax-exempt groups.
