My wife and I,(as would plenty of other farm partners) would be more than willing to work directly with McDonalds Canada outside of supply management to grow cage free eggs.
If it is good for the chicken to be cage free, then it would also be good for the consumer to be cage free of quota costs that are passed on to them.

It's always amusing, to the point of being frustrating, to see discussions about cages for chickens and not see any mention of the undeniable truth that, in Canada, regardless of where the hen lives, we put consumers in cages and call it supply management.
