Photo above: Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty talks to reporters and television cameras after serving pork to Queen's Park staff and MPPs today. The Premier invited Ontario Pork to arrange for the meal in Queen's Park after a similar event was put on by the Canadian Pork Council in Ottawa last week.
 

 

Photo above: Liberal Agriculture Minister Leona Dombrowsky, left, serves pork to Ernie Hardeman, former Progressive Conservative minister of agriculture, in the Government Caucus Room in the Provincial Legislature. Dombrowsky said the invitation by the Premier was an endorsement of the safety of pork and a reminder of the importance of the industry in Ontario.

perhaps this should become a regular event. having politicians serve our product to people provides an opportunity to focus discussion on our industry.
