Ontario changing Canadian Ag Partnership

Ontario’s government is adding a new initiative under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP). The program, titled Place to Grow: Agri-food Innovation Initiative, will provide cost-share funding to members of the agricultural and food value-chain industries. Purchasing new equipment

Several farms in northern Ontario will soon be investing in new equipment. On June 5, the Ontario government announced it is investing more than $3.1 million into 13 ag projects through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation. Agricorp extends planting deadlines

Ontario cash crop farmers have a bit more time to get their crops planted before experiencing any crop insurance implications. On Friday, Agricorp announced it is extending the planting deadlines for corn and soybeans by two and five days, respectively. “This spring has been difficult for farmers, with wet and cool weather and market disruptions causing concerns. The Ontario Craft Cider Association (OCCA) aims to increase the reach of its fruit-based beverages. Reflecting on visit to Denmark dairy farms

In the summer of 2018, I travelled to Denmark as part of a working exchange organized between Holstein Canada and Holstein Denmark. A year later, I reflect on my experiences in the exchange.
